Stocked Fishing Ponds
The Gold Bar Ranch is a favorite fishing spot for anglers of all ages(no license required). The fishing pond is stocked with largemouth bass, blue gill, crappie and catfish, so there are always plenty of hungry fish to catch. The Gold Bar Ranch implements a catch and release policy so the fish population always remains constant and the pond never gets depleted.
Fishing is best in the morning and evening near the cattails or off the fishing pier near the camping area.
If you want to go fishing in the deep water, paddle boats and a row boat are available.
Since you are fishing on a private pond, you do not need an Arizona fishing license.
The good news is the fishing is free as long as you camp one or more nights at the Gold Bar Ranch.
